Many other students who have commented on this post have said the same thing too. Although there may be some really good benefits to coffee i don't think i will be drinking it anytime soon either.

Posted by Kayla PerryKaylanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-86179537199877185872010-04-30T19:01:40.075-07:002010-04-30T19:01:40.075-07:00Amanda,

That if coffee is good for you and people crave it, then maybe these craves are just a way for the body saying it needs more of the healthy stuff in coffee. I doubt it too, considering most of the things we crave are unhealthy but it would be nice to know that coffee cravings are for healthy reasons.

Posted by Kayla PerryKaylanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-70370612405456382662010-04-29T10:48:43.569-07:002010-04-29T10:48:43.569-07:00This article grabbed my attention especially in th...This article grabbed my attention especially in the last week of the semester where I have already turned to coffee to aid me in staying awake for longer than I probably should. I know that too much coffee isn't good for you but, too much of anything has been proven to have in consequences. For this reason I trying to limit my coffee drinking habits to very little so I won't abuse it when I really need it. I do feel a little better knowing that there are some benefits.
Valerie SilvaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04383908684463471497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-6202953540616931362010-04-28T19:14:32.400-07:002010-04-28T19:14:32.400-07:00I believe that too much of anything has it's a...I believe that too much of anything has it's adverse effects on you, and coffee is certainly one. I've read many articles about the benefits of coffee in past articles and I truly think that there is a certain amount that people can benefit from coffee besides the regular waking up in the morning. With these benefits in mind, there's still a good chance that I won't be drinking coffee anytime soon.

Posted by Vinh TranPeter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-78278756040989807262010-04-28T18:06:58.115-07:002010-04-28T18:06:58.115-07:00This research makes me wonder more about people...This research makes me wonder more about people's coffee addiction, haha. I am not quite sure about what caffine does to the body, but I know a coffee drinker needs there coffee. Maybe it is the bodies way of saying that you need more of these other valuables when you crave coffee. I doubt this, but it would be nice to have the coffee craving for a healthy reason. In either case, this knowledge should be more wide spread since I only seem to hear bad things about avid coffee drinkers.

Posted by Amanda HostetterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-15333423654838820342010-04-26T21:38:22.129-07:002010-04-26T21:38:22.129-07:00Though this research makes me worry less about my ...Though this research makes me worry less about my coffee habit and the effect coffee will have on my long-term health, it does not paint the full picture about coffee consumption. Coffee may have some redeeming qualities, but there have been many more studies which have revealed the less attractive side of coffee. I think a story like this emphasizes the importance of reviewing multiple sources before drawing conclusions. This particular research would make for a great selling point for Folgers though.

Posted by Matt GrazewskiPeter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-87272876156159169122010-04-26T11:47:26.367-07:002010-04-26T11:47:26.367-07:00I think there is bad and good about drinking coffe...I think there is bad and good about drinking coffee. Although this has kinda led to a dependency on my part, I'm fairly cool with it. I agree with Kayla in that its surprising to see that there's a correlation between coffee and lowering diabetes type 2. Having a history of diabetes in my family I find this information highly useful and would be interested in following up on the research that has been done.

Posted by Charly AlmonteCharlynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-62995303617807280422010-04-23T19:46:01.657-07:002010-04-23T19:46:01.657-07:00The benifits of coffee have been known to mankind ...The benifits of coffee have been known to mankind for a long time. I am not a a regular coffee drinker, but on everynow and again will have a cup. I cheat by adding hot chocolate to the coffee. I wonder though what some of the perceived negative aspects of coffee are? I feel if coffee didn"t work then people would not continue to drink it, I also feel that with drinking coffee you have to take the bad with the good.Ray Cliche Jrnoreply@blogger.com
