From deriving evolutionary patterns, the modification of DNA throughout generations and environmental conditions of the past, I'm sure that this discovery of fossilized crinoids is just one of several to come.

Marshall MoiniPeter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-60793300841108925052013-02-23T08:42:32.516-08:002013-02-23T08:42:32.516-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Peter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-54164966862564350692013-02-22T15:59:01.651-08:002013-02-22T15:59:01.651-08:00Have you heard about any organic molecules being p...Have you heard about any organic molecules being preserved besides quinones? I know that DNA can be recovered from ancient specimens in some cases (I also believe DNA is similar to quionones structurally, so maybe the quinones are broken down forms of DNA).

Posted by Sean McDougall (3)Peter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008122866340502585.post-14383274925918875592013-02-21T08:27:37.709-08:002013-02-21T08:27:37.709-08:00I think fossilization is truly great, keeping some...I think fossilization is truly great, keeping something preserved just like amber. I hope that we can develop preservation techniques besides just cryogenics. This is like tardigrades, little microorganisms that can self-preserve and re-activate years later.

Nick Mulone (3)Peter Houlihanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961900865379520219noreply@blogger.com
