The
beginning of the universe and the beginning of all life is unknown to us, there
is no real proof as to what occurred that could cause the birth of our
universe. The big bang is a theory that is thought to be very probable to kick
start our universe yet however some stay closed minded toward it. People are
allowed to have their own beliefs but in an article from Answer
in Genesis they purposely and ignorantly ignore any possible theories on
why the big bang may have occurred and only state that the bible has all the
answers. They purposely bash and look down on the possibility that the big bang
took place at all.
In the article,
the author claims to have debated Bill Nye the science guy, telling him the
same information as in the article, that the beginning of the universe is not unknown
and that the answer is in the bible. He proceeds to say that the big bang is
not even a theory in its own right as there is no proof that it could have
happened in the first place and that its origins was only thought of to please
man’s aesthetic belief that the universe was made without a god. The author does throw in there that some Christians
believe that god had a part in the big bang but then proceeds to bash them as
well stating that those who believe that are only supporting a pagan belief and
are going against the bible. The author
is clearly biased and does not believe in any science and only wishes to keep a
closed mind about the possibilities, instead only thinking that the bible has
all the answers.
In a separate
article it
explains the big bang theory more in depth stating that it is the leading
explanation on how the universe started. The universe started with a small singularity
and it continued to inflate over the next 13.8 billion years into the universe
we know of today. The author states that this theory was found using
mathematical models and formulas in order to get what is known about the big
bang today. Even though these scientist believe in the big bang they don’t out
right say that this is the only possibility and this is exactly how the
universe started. Instead the author keeps an open mind unlike the previous
article and states that this theory may not be true and other explanations can
arise. Everyone is allowed to believe in what they choose to regardless if there
is evidence or not at the moment. However it is not right to bash another belief
because it does not match up with your own belief whether it is religion or
science, they wish for the same thing, to know how the universe started.

The bible doesn't mix well with science because of the idea that "the world was created in seven days!" Overall, religious individuals (or those who voice themselves actively) do not believe all that the science community has to offer and prove, which has hurt school systems in the past. In the present, science is globally accepted overall, and the dominance of religious influence has decreased.

I found that "Answers in Genesis" is headed by Ken Ham, who is a Christian minister, which truthfully isn't all that surprising. According to "Media Bias/Fact Check", the Christian news outlet often publishes articles that contain untrustworthy information that is not credible or verifiable. Also why is it that Bill Nye is always the spokesperson for all that is science? It seems as if this author is pandering to those who have a limited background in the sciences and would be familiar with the scientist from limited younger education.

Bill nye seems to be the go to for science since he so known in the community and a household name. Not many scientist of todays day and age are really a household name to most people so talking about someone that isn't really well known wouldn't affect most peoples opinions.

Interesting read! The author's bias give him tunnel vision thinking that his way of belief is the right way of belief. The author's mindset does not allow any other opinion whether the source is reputable or not. Articles like these attract other closed minded individuals which is very unfortunate because we can all find our own truth.

Thats the problem with people they always believe they are right and don't like to listen to the opinions of others and are quick to dismiss them. Other ignorant people attract others which reinforces their idea that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

Most articles in this website try to directly attack the authenticity of science, and tell the readers that the only thing that is real is their argument. I do not know much about the historical conflicts between science and religion, but the people in this website also want to declare that scientific studies denial their theories. Moreover, their articles are very monotone. They first define science as fake news without any solid evidence, and then continuously say that the bible and other books they love tell the truth. Maybe they can only share these articles within their group, because no one outside their group would believe them.

Neither explains the origins of the universe really well. Even if the universe was made in seven days or by the big bang, we still don't know why the universe all of a sudden expanded. When beliefs get in the way, that clouds judgement, and narrows perspectives.

Figuring out how the universe started is hard and most concepts or theories as to how it started are just speculations since it was so long ago. Hopefully one day someone will be able to find the right theory as to how the universe was actually created.

The amount of backing that the author provides for how genesis explains the formation of the planet is close to none as most evidence is only references within the same book. That is one primary source that is heavily debated on whether or not there is any truth to it. I do not believe that any source should be trusted if there was an old version of the text that was revised to be a new version that mitigates the stretches of what was said in the old. With the big bang comes multitudes of papers and sources that support the theory. Any thesis must be backed up by proper amounts of evidence and not just one text.

Christianity proves to be a very hypocritical religion. In the end, if something can't be proved; if there is no discernible evidence for the argument being made, then I don't have a reason to believe it. After all that, if I still do believe, that is my personal choice, not a reflection that the argument is valid. This goes for both scientific and religious arguments.
